Plum Creek Valley Farmer’s Market
The Plum Creek Valley Farmer’s Market takes place every Saturday at Festival Park beginning in July and ending in October. Festival Park is on Second Street between Wilcox and Perry. There is still a month left to get your locally grown food and locally produced artisan goods. This Castle Rock farmer’s market has fruit from the Pallisades, vegetables from big farms in Brighton and Pueblo, and fun local products like honey and baked goods from all over Colorado.
Taste of Douglas County
The Taste of Douglass County is a Castle Rock event that showcases food from local establishments. The event will take place on September 8th at the Douglas County Events Center from 5:00pm-8:00pm. If you cannot decide where to eat on September 8th, you can try something from over 50 different businesses for just $10 or $20 the day of.
Artfest
Artfest is a Castle Rock event that will take place the weekend of September 10th and 11th. Artists from around the country will showcase their work in historic downtown Castle Rock. There will be an Artfest Store for souvenirs, an Imagine Zone for children, a silent auction, musical entertainment and food carts. This is a great weekend activity for anyone so come and check out the 22nd annual Castle Rock Artfest.
Historic Downtown Walking Tour
Do you want to learn more about Castle Rock? Then come on down and meet at The Courtyard on September 24th at 10:00am. There will a 45 minute walking tour of historic downtown Castle Rock. You will learn about this towns start as a stop along the railroad and its rowdy mining past.
Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is a Castle Rock event that celebrates the German Oktoberfest. Castle Rock’s Oktoberfest serves up German beer and has German bands to create the perfect fall atmosphere. This event is family friendly and has fun activities for everyone including food vendors, shopping and kid’s activities. Oktoberfest will be held on October 8th at Festival Park from 11:00am to 6:00pm.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be running at the Image Center for Visual and Performing Arts throughout October. Check the town of Castle Rock’s website at www.crgov.com to see the details.
Trick or Treat Street
Trick or Treat Street is a Castle Rock event that will take place on Halloween, Monday, October 31st. The event will be at Festival Park from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The event consists of tons of fun and safe Halloween activites. There will be a Pumpkin Patch and a Costume Contest while Trick or Treating will take place at local businesses. This is an easy and fun community event for your kids and a great way to spend Halloween.
