Castle Rock residents often commute north to the Denver Tech Center or even into Downtown Denver. Some folks go the opposite route and commute towards Colorado Springs in the south. Castle Rock is conveniently located between the two larger cities. The commute to Denver is a little more busy, but also a little shorter in distance. The commute to Colorado Springs will see less traffic, but is longer. But with the growth Castle Rock also gained more jobs. Retail jobs are available all over town. The County (Douglas County) has their offices in Castle Rock and is a large employer in the area. The town government of Castle Rock is another large employer (large for Castle Rock).

What many people do not know - there are also some larger corporations that have offices in and around Castle Rock. DirecTV, the satellite TV provider has a large presence in Castle Rock and employs local residents as well as commuters from the surrounding towns and cities. The Medved car dealership in the southern part of Castle Rock also offers quite some jobs and would be worth checking out if you are in the market for a new job.
