Castle Rock seen with the eyes of a real estate agent
Castle Rock, Colorado is currently the natural choice for people who want a small town atmosphere and character, but with the convenience of big city amenities close by. Located just south of Denver on Interstate 25, Castle Rock has it all. Easy access to Interstate highways (I - 25) and other major highways (example: Highway 85 connecting Castle Rock to the west side of the Denver Metro Area), mountain views, open space, affordable housing and (very important) friendly folks. It is also not very uncommon to find people living in Castle Rock and commuting to either Denver or Colorado Springs.
The town community concentrates on maintaining open space so that the beauty of Colorado is available for future generations. Large pieces of land have been reserved for parks and trails. Eight miles west of Castle Rock, covering over one-third of Douglas County is the Pike National Forest, featuring magnificent canyons, hiking trails, camp grounds, picnic areas, and fishing.
For golfers the area offers three private country clubs plus two new public golf courses. The International Golf Tournament is played annually at Castle Pines - just outside of Castle Rock among Highway 85.
Castle Rock has many covenant controlled home developments in various price ranges and styles. This makes it a sure bet that house values are maintained and that no one neighbor can destroy the value of a nice neighborhood. Older areas of town do offer non-covenant living for those who have this preference.
